- Based in the Information Strategy and Technology Services Unit at the Mawson Lakes campus
- Full-time, two (2) year fixed term contract
- Commencement Salary: $123,186 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
The broad purpose of this role is to manage a range of Information System projects over the course of each of their project lifecycle from business case through to implementation.

Information Strategy and Technology Services (ISTS) has the primary strategic and operational responsibility for the provision of the UniSA's considerable IT infrastructure and services and has approximately 160 staff in 8 key areas.
ISTS contributes to the University's strategic goals and objectives by providing:
- University wide IT support for staff and students;
- Technical support, development and management of:
- communication services such as fixed and wireless data networks, telephone systems, voicemail, and high speed access to the internet;
- collaboration facilities such as email, calendaring, video and audio conferencing, instant messaging and document sharing;
- over 2,700 on campus computers for students;
- teaching technology in general purpose teaching spaces; and
- central infrastructure (servers, data storage and data centres)
- Technical support, development and management of information systems which support online teaching and learning, research management and research education, student experience, administration, data integration and business intelligence, the staff and student portals, and the corporate web.
- Identification and management of ICT based risks and disaster recovery planning;
- Technical project management services for major, University wide ICT projects;
- Management of University wide hardware and software purchasing arrangements; and
- Development, maintenance and communication of policies, procedures and guidelines for the use of information technology within the university.

Core Responsibilities
- Design and initiate a range of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects within ISTS and the wider University applying the University project management methodology
- With relevant business owners, manage the identification, analysis and prioritisation of requirements
- Develop, implement, monitor and control risk management strategies for Information Systems projects to ensure deliverables are achieved and expectations managed
- Apply a high level of commercial acumen in the management of project budgets and expenditure within University governance and Finance protocols
- Manage and develop staff reporting to this position applying contemporary Human Resource management techniques
- Relevant post graduate qualification and substantial experience in Project Management relevant to the role
- Significant experience in coordinating the collation of business requirements suitable for internal design and development and/or market procurement
- Demonstrated experience in writing and presenting project proposals, business cases and recommendations for consideration by senior management
- Extensive experience in successfully managing ICT systems based projects of significant scope and complexity, including demonstrated ability to manage human and financial resources in a project setting
- High level of experience in successfully developing and maintaining constructive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to elicit and analyse requirements and negotiate and persuade as required
