The Early Childhood and State Schooling Division is responsible for the management and coordination of early childhood and care programs including the approval and regulation of day-care services, kindergarten programs and outside school hours care. Your Role:
Applications are sought for a Manager to join the Early Childhood Regulatory Authority. The team is located within the RA's Monitoring and Compliance unit. We are seeking a capable manager to lead a small team in a busy regulatory setting. You will thrive in working in a fast-paced environment and be able to respond quickly to urgent/critical issues. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated advanced skills in a regulatory or similar environment, including the ability provide advice on complex compliance and strategic issues and make high quality administrative decisions.

Responsibilities include:As a Manager in Monitoring and Compliance, you will:

• lead a team of Principal and Senior Regulatory Officers to plan and conduct high level investigations;
• providing legislative, compliance-related and strategic advice to senior officers and regional colleagues;
• plan and undertake targeted monitoring activities including investigations and associated enforcement activities;
• manage complaints;
• prepare high level documentation to support quality administrative decision making;
• conduct statutory internal reviews;
• guide regulatory staff, including in regional offices, in undertaking regulatory functions; and
• represent the Regulatory Authority in internal and external forums.
