The Manager, National Inclusion Strategy and Engagement:
- leads the provision of whole-of-government disability inclusion policy and strategic leadership to promote the full inclusion of people with disability within the Victorian community and economy,
- leads and supports intergovernmental discussions regarding national disability inclusion policy and Australia's Disability Strategy including associated mainstream interface between state disability services and the National Disability Insurance Scheme,
- supports strategic priority projects across the Inclusive Communities Unit.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Lead policies and projects related to national disability inclusion and engagement to deliver high-quality and authoritative advice to promote voice, rights and representation of people with disability at a state and national level to positively impact service delivery and meet state-wide departmental and government objectives and community expectations. This includes the preparation of government submissions, business cases and reports, responses to issues papers and implementation plans.
- Lead, manage, oversee and contribute to the delivery of strategic and integrated policies and projects from conception to evaluation, ensuring risks are mitigated, the policy and projects are delivered on time and on budget. This includes forging strong connections across the department and with external stakeholders to facilitate a co-design/partnership approach to policy development; leading, managing and contributing to the development of policy frameworks, reform opportunities, strategic policy initiatives and major analyses of strategic issues in Victoria.
- Lead and oversee the development of high-quality briefings, meeting papers, presentation and correspondence, consistent with key policy objectives for a range of audiences including Ministers, DFFH Executives, other government departments and external organisations.
