Role Details
The Manager, Office of the Chief Executive Operations is a role within the Office of the Chief Executive and is accountable to the Director, Office of the Chief Executive for:
- managing all administrative functions relating to operations of the Office for the Chief Executive
- strategic management of a comprehensive range of administrative, financial, human resource management systems and related functions are in place to support the Chief Executive’s office
- managing and maintaining effective partnerships with departmental officers and providing quality responses, support, and related interactions with the department
- initiating and coordinating the business reform activities for the Office of the Chief Executive and the wider Department.
1. Provide leadership, direction and management to a small team including the coordination, allocation, and quality control of work.
2. Manage corporate governance matters, including administration of departmental briefings, proactive disclosure, customer complaints and ensure divisional legislative obligations and compliance.
3. Determine and develop goals, priorities and associated change management strategies and contribute to strategic leadership and business planning.
4. Develop, implement, and maintain effective administrative and information systems and structures that support operational and functional needs.
5. Lead business improvement activities which support the ongoing functions of the Office of the Chief Executive.
Note: Any other responsibilities in line with the classification level of the role as assigned by Line Manager and/or the Department. The responsibilities as specified above may be altered in accordance with the changing requirements of the role.

The Office of the Chief Executive and Governance is responsible for a range of functions, including executive support, governance responsibilities, ministerial and chief executive correspondence and briefings, ministerial cabinet coordination, parliamentary business, coordination of policy advice on inter-governmental and intra-governmental matters, business intelligence and analysis, risk management, and coordination of responsibilities for services the department provides to the community.
The division is a key component in overseeing all departmental business, and ultimately helps enable our department to deliver effective services and supports for the South Australian community.
Role Status: Term up to 01/05/2024
Salary Range: $104,938 - $113,435 (AS07)

Screening Checks
