The Organisation Juno is an independent, feminist organisation working to support women, non-binary people and their children who are experiencing homelessness, family violence or economic insecurity. Their focus is to advocate and increase awareness of the challenges faced, and work in partnership with women and non-binary people to promote early access to information and build capacity to avert future crisis. The Role Reporting to the CEO and as part of the leadership team, you will focus on the successful delivery of gender-based community development programs, alongside building corporate and philanthropic partnerships. Specifically you will:
Identify, negotiate and implement change to improve client service delivery
Work closely with senior practitioners, peer educators and project workers to achieve organisational goals
Recommend fundraising strategies and opportunities for business development
Support the implementation of evidence-based practice across current and future service delivery
Prepare and oversee program performance and budgets
Skills Required You will be a motivated community development leader, with experience of working with industry partners including government, corporate partners, philanthropic funders and community organisations. Some knowledge of homelessness, family or domestic violence is preferred, along with the following:
Previous undertaking of successful grant writing and submission of funding applications
Familiar with service delivery and program design across community groups
Ability to develop and nurture philanthropic and mutually beneficial relationships
An understanding of the impact of trauma and recovery orientated approaches to support and intervention
Tertiary qualifications in social work or community development
