- Provide procurement advice to senior management and key internal customers and lead a team that provides high quality procurement services to the department.
- Participate in the development, implementation and measurement of QFleet's procurement plans and individual project initiatives.
- Provide high level management, analysis and advice by:
o maintaining engagement with industry, suppliers and customers to inform requirement definitions, trends for future demand for QFleet products or services, supply market innovations and changes to market competition and structure, and cost drivers.
o working across agencies on Whole-of-Government procurement initiatives.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies including the preparation of Procurement Plans for major sourcing activities.
- Represent QFleet in dealings with industry, suppliers and customers at forums relating to the procurement function.
- In consultation with key stakeholders develop, maintain and refine QFleet's standard procurement practices including requirements documentation, risk management, invitation to tender and offer documentation, engagement services, evaluation protocols and standards for negotiation of contracts.
- Manage the formulation, implementation, and review of the residual values for vehicles to be offered for lease to the Queensland Government.
- Manage the reporting and contract management requirements regarding vehicle supplier performance.
- Manage the budget and staff resourcing of the branch to ensure the skills and capabilities meet the procurement needs of QFleet.
- Develop innovative and agile procurement solutions in a dynamic and changing environment
