Manager - Procurement Contract and Supplier Performance Management VPS6 Ongoing

The Information Management and Technology Division guides the Departments' digital capability and is leading digital transformation for the Department including Victorian government schools. The Division architects, manages and supports the largest technology network in Victoria, supporting a user base of approximately 750,000 staff and students.
IMTD provides innovation and leadership in the transformation and management of the Department's digital capability through the implementation of solutions on the department's cloud environment (IaaS), enterprise cloud platforms (PaaS) and software (SaaS), using agile practices with a focus on user experience, security, and integration.

About the opportunity
As the Manager Procurement, Contract Management and Supplier Performance you will play a key role in implementing new ways of working, and continuously improve the procurement and contract management capability.
Working collaboratively with IMTD managers and other staff you will develop sourcing strategies and plans that support IMTD needs. You will manage the supplier agreements and vendor contracts, including supplier performance and the resolution of contract disputes.
About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:
  • Experience leading a procurement, contract management function within a complex environment
  • Experience and a sound understanding of procurement policies and procedures
  • Experience operating commercial optimisation strategies to deliver savings/benefits and/or improve service outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience in managing significant, complex and high value contracts
  • A collaborative style but will challenge in effective way so as to influence outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and collaboration capability to drive supplier performance
  • Experience within an ICT environment within a complex organisation.
