The Manager will have responsibility for the following during this period:
- developing a model for a statewide, coordinated approach to building and strengthening school industry partnerships in Queensland schools aligned to skills shortage areas, leading to employment outcomes;
- identifying and fostering responsive and sustainable school, further education and training, and industry partnerships that support student' successful school to work transitions;
- establishing reciprocal relationships with a broad range of stakeholders such as Regional Jobs Committees, key industry and further education and training partners, employers and Chambers of Commerce;
- establishing a state reference group, to foster sustainable school-industry partnerships and connect pipelines for employment in priority industry areas;
- providing corporate strategic oversight and leadership of the initiative, inclusive of reporting and governance activities; and
- providing timely high-level strategic advice to senior officers regarding school to work transitions and associated initiatives.

Prior experience supporting school and industry partnerships would be of high value to the successful applicant.
The successful applicant will have the following key attributes:
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain productive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level consultation and negotiation skills to achieve outcomes.
- High level written, spoken and digital communication skills.
- Experience working on complex projects to achieve required outcomes within set timeframes and on budget.
