Opportunity:
We present a temporary opportunity for a seasoned professional to step into the role of Manger, Registrations with the Greyhound Welfare and Integrity Commission (GWIC). In this position, you will oversee the registration process, ensuring that all aspects are managed to ensure the standards of the industry are met. Your leadership will extend to managing a dedicated team focused on providing front-line customer service to industry participants and stakeholders.
As the Manager, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and overseeing the licensing team. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and reviewing work allocation, workload, and workflows to ensure strict compliance with deadlines and service delivery standards. Your leadership skills will be crucial as you guide, coach, and support direct reports, providing valuable performance feedback to foster continuous improvement.
About You:
We are seeking an accomplished leader with a proven track record in effective leadership and team management. Your experience should reflect a capacity to provide accurate and timely information, particularly in response to complex licensing enquiries. Your expertise will be pivotal in the development of the registration process and the implementation of necessary reforms for the Commission.
The successful candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in navigating the intricacies of greyhound racing lifecycle licensing transactions. With a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in licensing or regulatory affairs, you will be well-versed in applying relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Your communication skills will shine as you provide informed guidance, advice, and support on sensitive matters, and your ability to prepare concise reports and submissions will be a valuable asset to the team.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for ongoing employment at GWIC, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia, and available for the duration of the temporary appointment until November 30, 2024.
