The Manager Rehabilitation Strategy and Planning will:
Manage and lead staff co-ordinating rehabilitation governance for QCS.
Establish and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to improve offender outcomes.
Develop, implement and oversight governance activities, and planning processes to help support and develop evidence-based offender rehabilitation practices across QCS.
Work with other leaders to develop innovative solutions and evidence-based solutions to offender needs, including priority groups such as women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and offenders with a disability.
Oversee internal monthly and quarterly reporting processes against throughput and quality indicators and ensure measurements and KPIs present data that accurately reflects Agency level deliverables in assessment and rehabilitation.
Develop and implement strategies that deliver high quality rehabilitation outcomes for QCS, the PBQ, the offender and the community.
Provide support and advice to operations regarding rehabilitation governance, application of processes and service planning.
Provide high level advice to the Agency regarding rehabilitation governance and service planning arrangements including advice on rehabilitation planning processes and impact and requirements on operational resources.
Provide expert advice to the Director regarding human, financial and physical resources to ensure that activities, systems and processes meet organisational needs.
Management and preparation of strategic advice and ministerial and executive correspondence ensuring accuracy and timelines are met.
Manage the provision of advice, support and training to relevant custodial and Community Corrections staff.
Maintain a high standard of professional knowledge on offender assessment, case management, offender management and rehabilitation research and initiatives.
Liaison with other Federal and State Government agencies in relation to the offender rehabilitation, including inter-jurisdictional committees.
A degree in psychology, social work or a related discipline would be highly regarded.
Possession of post graduate qualifications (or significant progress towards post graduate qualifications) in a relevant area will be highly regarded.
