What you will be doing:
An exciting opportunity is available to join the Drug and Alcohol department in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District as the Manager for Service Development. The Manager, Service Development contributes to the effective management of the Drug and Alcohol service, its people and resources, in partnership with the Divisional Manager, Clinical Director, Manager Psychology and Counselling and Nurse Manager as a member of the Drug and Alcohol Executive team.
The Manager Service Development plays a pivotal role in meeting key organisational and Service goals to increase awareness, engagement and, where appropriate, revenue. The position holder is responsible for increasing NBMLHD Drug and Alcohol service's ability to consistently deliver relevant and quality services and enhance a platform for sustainability.
The position is responsible for the coordination and management of a range of integrated service planning development initiatives arising through research and development activities.
This position is responsible for leading and coordinating the delivery of drug and alcohol programs and initiatives within Drug and Alcohol.
You will coordinate strategy and service development to respond to NSW, district and ministry priorities to meet health system service planning and performance targets.

Selection Criteria to be Addressed:
Tertiary qualifications in a health or management related field and or equivalent experience in a health-related field.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the proven ability to forge partnerships, networks and achieve outcomes through engagement of multidisciplinary teams.
Well developed organisational skills and capacity to manage and complete several works concurrently and achieve deadlines.
High level oral and written communication skills with experience presenting complex information in a manner that is accessible and easily understood and preparing high quality briefings, reports and submissions in short times frames.
Demonstrated project management skills and experience across a range of initiatives, working flexibly and independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather and analyse complex information, contribute to policy and or service development and change management.
Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
