Business Bank (BB) offer a wide range of services and solutions to our small to medium-enterprise customers and our regional and agribusiness customers. Business Lending is responsible for providing market leading products and processes to customers and relationship teams across both the institutional bank and the business bank. Business Lending contributes to around 40% of the Group’s profit annually and accounts for a portfolio of around $110B in lending assets across the Business Bank.
The Term Loans Crew aims to provide choice, certainty and simplicity to all customers with a Term Loan need. We are the Customer Products and Engagement Squad within the Term Loans Crew, responsible for the management of a range of Term Loans products. We are passionate, dynamic and customer obsessed! Do work that matters
You will report to the Chapter Lead and be an integral part of the Squad, led by the Product Owner. You will be responsible for the profitable growth of the product portfolio through strategically meeting the needs of our business customers and providing an outstanding customer experience. You will also ensure products are simple and easy for our frontline teams. Additionally, you will also provide proactive analysis and financial management, diligent risk management, operating within CBA’s Risk appetite and product and distribution policy.
You will continuously iterate and enhance solutions to create better outcomes and value for customer and stakeholders. You will move forward with less-than-perfect information, and quickly pivot to changing work demands. You will work constructively with others towards common goals, through effective information sharing across teams. You can accurately evaluate complex and ambiguous situations to reach timely, objective and informed decisions. You can challenge effectively.
Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for the successful day-to-day management of the Term Loan product suite and ownership of the product management lifecycle. This includes: ensuring our products meet our customer needs, staying abreast of market trends (from regulatory, economics to innovation), robust operational and credit risk management, and continuous improvement and simplification of our products and processes.
• Contribute to Term Loan product strategy development and customer engagement.
• Work collaboratively within your squad to own and drive the backlog of key initiatives as determined by the Product Owner
• Work through ambiguity and use judgement to review competing priorities.
• Drive superior results for customers and CBA, and contribute to creating a high performance culture within the team.
• Accountable for continued monitoring and proactive improvements of the end-to-end product risk and control environment. This includes robust product governance, identification of issues, escalation and swift resolution of problem records.
• Build and foster strong relationships across the product value chain e.g. Frontline Teams, Digital, Compliance, Technology and Finance, to ensure efficient delivery of strategic initiatives and resolution of issues.
• Contribution to the profitable growth of the Term Loan Products through strong individual performance and team collaboration across all stakeholders.

• Relevant experience in financial services and/or product management.
• An understanding or interest in the current business lending landscape.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment.
