We have an exciting opportunity for a “hands-on” Manufacturing Manager to lead its Smithfield operations team. Reporting to the Business Manager NSW, you will lead, manage and coach the production team to achieve production goals.
The following duties will include but are not limited to:
- Manage operations such as safety, production, scheduling, purchasing, inventory management, production, transport, delivery and service
- Provide leadership, coaching, support, and performance management support through constructive feedback
- Overseeing daily production and targets
- Managing and implementing processes and procedures
- Practicing safety-first leadership
- Working closely with the state management team to drive continuous improvement into new and existing products
A successful candidate for this role will have:
- 5+ years experience in managing a production workforce with a union actively involved on site
- Experience in managing operations using processes, reports, data, systems and tools
- Strong & effective communication skills to lead the operations team with coaching and development skills
- Action and outcome orientated with the ability to balance production, safety and resources of the team
- Be authentic and respectful in all dealings
