An exciting opportunity for a Market Research Analyst working in the Marketing team has become available within the Corporate Buying department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury.
What we are looking for:
The successful candidate will have experience in market research and analytics programmes. Acting as support for the manager, they will form part of a team that is the central point of contact for market research agencies and the marketing team. They will recommend and drive strategic improvements to the ALDI Buying teams and marketing program, based on market research and data analytics. They will champion customer intelligence through the use of analytical insights and bring the consumer to life through strategic decision making.
Your responsibilities:
• Become a key member of the team that supports ALDI’s market research and analytics program
• Work with Strategy and Insights manager to conduct preliminary market research, data analysis and the supply of insight to the overall business
• Act as the central ‘knowledge hub’ for all market research, and advocate for the customer voice in strategic decision making
• Plan and recommend market research methodologies in consultation with the manager
• Coordinate, prepare and ensure timely delivery and accuracy of research projects, materials and reporting
• Act as the liaison between Corporate Buying and external market research agencies
• Coordinate requests from the wider ALDI Australia business for the Analytics team
• Manage the efficient and accurate flow of correspondence and information, both incoming and outgoing, with external and internal parties ensuring an ongoing understanding of current issues, proposing/taking action where appropriate
• Actively manage areas of responsibility by using initiative and suggesting ways of improving procedures for greater efficiency
• Manage and control the budget, including invoices, in areas of responsibility

Selection Criteria:
• Market insights and research professional with a minimum 5 years’ experience
• Demonstrated data analysis skills
o Understanding of market research and digital marketing data
o Understanding of relevant statistical analysis techniques
o Experience using data analysis and modelling software
• Strong reporting skillset with high attention to detail
• Demonstrated stakeholder management skills
• Strong knowledge of the Australian retail and grocery market highly regarded
• Open minded thinker with proven ability to solve problems
• Ability to use initiative and think “outside the box”
• Highly organised - with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Valuable team member with an enthusiastic attitude
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and relevant analytical software (e.g. Q, Tableau)
• Ability to make decisions and ‘action’ outstanding issues
This role reports to the Executive Manager of Insights and Strategy.
