As the Market Risk Manager, your role includes:
- Oversight of the Balance Sheet Trading and Treasury activities for Japan and broader Asia focusing on North-East Asian region, including interest rate risk in the banking book, non-traded foreign exchange risk and liquidity risk.
- Acting as the primary non-traded market risk contact point for the market risks in the banking book in Japan and Asia whilst effectively managing the relationships and expectations of senior business and risk stakeholders
- Oversight of Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) methodology and process relating to Japan and broader Asia and ensuring all relevant market risks are identified, measured and managed.
- Represent Non-Traded Market Risk at the various meetings, including preparing relevant papers.
- Assist the business in meeting its objectives, by ensuring activities are well managed and meet the Bank’s no-surprise objectives;
- Fostering a mutually respectful relationship between the Markets Risk Group and key business stakeholders such as Balance Sheet Trading and Treasury;
- Contributing to ANZ’s goal of creating a distinctive risk management capability by working collaboratively with other Market Risk team members throughout the region and providing sound advice and assistance as needed;
- Contribute to the overall operation of the Market Risk Group and key special projects when appropriate
What will you bring?
- 10+ years Market Risk/ Treasurty/ Financial Markets experience
- Market and/or Liquidity Risk and framework development experience
- Policy and documentation development.
- Quantitative and analytical skills
- People and stakeholder management
- Capable of presenting to ANZ’s Senior Executives and external regulators.
