About the Position
Corporate Communication leads all external marketing and communication on behalf of the City of Gold Coast. We're looking for a dynamic professional to assist with the development and delivery of high-quality marketing and communication strategies. You have a can-do attitude and are able to confidently manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high-standard of delivery.
You are looking for project or contract work and are interested in working to support the marketing and communication needs of various areas of the City, including:
- Corporate Administration and Governance
- Economy, Planning and Environment
- Lifestyle and Community
- Office of the CEO
- Organisational Services
- Transport and Infrastructure
- Water and Waste
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing insightful marketing, communication and digital strategies.
- Confidently communicating strategies and recommendations to clients to gain support.
- Implementing diverse tactics, including creative campaign development, brand management, public relations, copywriting and editing, web content development, media and issues management, and community and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitoring, analysing and reporting of campaigns.
- Managing relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Consulting with clients on marketing, communication, community consultation and stakeholder engagement activities to ensure the best outcome for the organisation.
Key deliverables of the position:
- As the branch that leads the City's marketing and communication campaigns, you are responsible for developing and implementing campaigns across the City, delivering integrated marketing, digital and communication solutions.
- You will ensure our communication is planned, integrated, innovative, proactive and value for money.
- You will help mitigate project issues through strategic marketing and communications.
- You will develop strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders to leverage City initiatives.
- You will maximise your positive reputation and minimise negative perceptions.
About You
- Bachelor Degree of Marketing or Equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in a marketing and communications role.
- Intermediate knowledge of relevant technologies – Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Ability to pick up different subject matter quickly and work well with others.
