Marketing Manager, Brand
Your business and team
Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA) works with all parts of the Group to engage and influence all stakeholders. MCA works as a trusted partner to enhance and protect CBA’s brand and reputation, increase the bank’s competitive advantage and deliver customer and business value.
The Brand Strategy team sits within the Brand and Social team in Marketing and Corporate Affairs.
The goal of the Brand and Social team is to step change reputation and become the brand of first choice, engaging and building trust with our current and future customers, people, community and shareholders.
This role reports to the Chapter Lead, Brand Strategy (Executive Manager)
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include:
  • Insights: Work with the Market Research and Insights team to understand brand and reputation drivers and performance, and assist with translating these into strategy.
  • Engage our people and our agencies through brand strategy and identity training, bringing the brand strategy to life in an engaging way, and ensuring they feel equipped to create communications and experiences that reflect our brand strategy.
  • Partner with key teams across the business to bring our brand to life, e.g. Marketing teams, Customer Experience, Frontline teams, Digital and X15 Ventures, Group Communications, Employer Brand, and Investor Relations.
  • Brand Review and approvals: provide visual and tonal brand feedback to customer facing communications.
  • Foster and contribute to a positive team culture by living and demonstrating values-led behaviour, developing your team members and the broader team around you, and working in a constructive way across the Group.

Your skills and qualifications
  • A passion for brands and expertise in brand strategy and management, guiding brands to life across many touchpoints.
  • Experience as a brand strategist, planner or brand manager, with exceptional attention to detail within a customer centric organisation.
  • Self-starter, confident influencing and collaborating across teams at different levels in a dynamic and matrixed organization.
  • Broad-thinking and problem-solving: A blend of creative, strategic and analytical mindset.
  • Highly organised, with experience in project management, process improvement and administration.
  • Risk Mindset–All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
