Who We Are
In remote Communities across Australia there is often no infrastructure such as libraries or bookstores. Access to reading material is extremely limited and this impacts the achievements of Indigenous children.
ILF’s three programs, Book Supply, Book Buzz and Community Publishing Projects, focus on ensuring access to quality resources, including books in First Languages, publishing Community stories and supporting Communities and families to lead the entire process to ensure leadership, ownership, and authenticity is held with Community Elders and residents.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee, execute and manage the branding and delivery of all ILF marketing collateral & communications.
- Management and Strategy – guiding role in marketing strategy and brand management, re-branding, etc.
- Collaborate with the Fundraising team to create and deliver fundraising campaigns and events.
- Management of permissions for gathering and storage of collateral (photo’s, videos, etc).
- Mentoring, development, management and recruitment of team members including external consultants and agencies.
Specific Tasks
- Plan and execute timely delivery of the annual marketing plan and Budget for CEO and ILF Board approval.
- Develop implement and evaluate key fundraising events in collaboration with the Fundraising team eg: the Great Book Swap, End of Financial Year, Busking for Change and Festive appeal.
- Oversee the planning, delivery and evaluation of ILF’s participation at national and state industry festivals and conferences and key annual events such as NAIDOC, National Reconciliation Week and Yabun.
- Point person to manage the third-party production of ILF’s signature events for Indigenous Literacy Day (ILD).
- Manage ILF’s communications including all printed and digital material and cross platform communications. Source photos, blogs, current affair stories, book industry news, etc to produce targeted communications as well as a monthly edm, organisational and event specific brochures, the Impact Report, corporate communications, videos, banners, merchandise, website and social media (YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter)
- Lead the team and leverage the marketing database data to create and deliver marketing campaigns to targeted audiences.
- Manage CRM marketing database (in Salesforce) and its development.
- Attend relevant functions and events, festivals and conferences to promote ILF.
- Collaborate with the Fundraising team to manage ILF volunteers, ambassadors and key stakeholders/donors.
- Keep an up to date Marketing Manual on processes, storage of all files and images and the ILF style guide.
- Schedule and manage photoshoots in Community with third party creatives
