About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced casual Master <35m to join our operations here in South-East Queensland. Primarily working in Redland Bay and Cleveland , this exciting casual position requires a person who is energetic, motivated, enthusiastic and has the flexibility to meet operational demands.

This position in our team creates an opportunity for you to join an award-winning tourism and transport company with an excellent reputation in quality products and professional customer service.

The Master will be responsible for the daily efficient operation of their vessel, whilst always maintaining excellence in safety, customer service, and reliability. The primary function of the role is the safe and secure operation and navigation of the vessel and to ensure the health and safety of all passengers and crew on board.

The Master must ensure the vessel maintains compliance with all relevant local laws and company policies and is responsible for the implementation and verification of the vessel’s Safety Management System.

This position requires a strong leader, with a high standard of interpersonal and organisational skills and effective written and verbal communication skills as well as proven safe ship handling.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate experience working within fast-paced, dynamic teams; with exceptional leadership, vessel-handling ability, knowledge and compliance of legislation and operating procedures, customer service, and be safety focussed.

  • Master less than 35m Certificate of Competency – Essential
  • MED 3 or Higher - Essential
  • Senior First Aid - Essential
  • Driver’s License - Essential
  • Demonstrated leadership skills - Essential
  • Strong verbal communication skills
