Job description

Skills Required: Leading the Shift, Advancing your Leadership, Developing the Leader in me, Customer Experience, Product Quality and People Performance Courses through McDonalds Training Department.

Main duties as an Assistant Restaurant Manager include:

· Delivering outstanding QSC, sales, people practices and profit on shifts.

· Supervise employees to ensure that restaurant operations and procedures are adhered to. Engage with crew and fellow managers to deliver great business outcomes by bringing the Macca’s Way to life on each and every shift. Ensure every customer has a memorable McDonald’s experience.

· Comply with restaurant safety and security standards which includes investigating all incidents and taking corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and customers. Escalate safety and security matters to the Restaurant Manager where necessary.

· Support the Restaurant Manager to coordinate the various functions and systems that are critical to the success of the Restaurant.

· Assist the Restaurant by taking care of one or more of its core Departments (Customer Experience Department, Product Quality Department, People Performance Department).

Customer Experience Department Manager Responsibilities are the following:

· Work with the People Performance Manager to ensure the restaurant is adequately staffed at all times.

· Communicate to the management team customer feedback whilst ensuring there is a process in place to address all customer complaints and identify trends.

· Drive the Macca’s Experience within the restaurant by setting the standard and leading the Customer Experience Crew team.

· Develop and lead the McCafe Crew Coach team in the execution of McCafe operations and procedures

· Review service metrics (e.g Drive Thru OEPE, peck GC’s, McCafe Comp, Digital and McDelivery) and communicate department goals and objectives to the Restaurant Manager and wider management team.

· Support the Restaurant Manager in the development and execution of the restaurant marketing plan to maximise sales opportunities in the community.

· Develop a weekly crew schedule that meets restaurant needs, optimising sales and profitability.

· Use reporting metrics (e.g. Over/under, labour exceptions and SPCH) to monitor and achieve weekly and monthly labour targets.

Product Quality Department Manager Responsibilities are the following:

· Follow up on the maintenance of the restaurant building, plant and equipment — troubleshooting and calibrating when necessary to maintain QSC&V.

· Ensure production metrics (e.g. side 2 percentage, KVS time, and 15 minute burger count) are achieved to drive kitchen performance and overall speed of service.

· Verify employees are adequately trained on the completion of relevant PM tasks

· Generate, analyse and present restaurant results in relation to food control to uncover ways to drive improved performance.

· Ensure the completion of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual PM tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition to meet customer demand.

· Maintain the accuracy of the ordering system and the completion of stock orders whilst ensuring delivery accuracy and product rotation.

· Analyse food cost components (raw and completed waste, food promotions, T-reds, employee and manager meals, and condiments) to develop and communicate weekly food cost action plans to managers and crew.

People Performance Department Manager Responsibilities are the following:

· Ensure sufficient employee numbers, training and verification to drive execution of all restaurant areas.

· Ensure all crew are provided with the correct uniform.

· Ensure required training is completed for all crew on the Station Training App, this includes annual Restaurant Basic Induction Training reverification.

· Screen applications, conduct interviews and follow the correct on-boarding process ensuring crew are assigned to a department in a timely manner.

· Support Crew Coaches through the completion of the Crew Coach Development Program and conduct Crew Coach meetings.

· Cascade essential communications to employees through the use of metime, notice boards and meetings.

· Work with the Customer Experience Manager to create a hiring plan that supports the labour budget for my restaurant.

· Actively work to reduce turnover in my restaurant to minimise the cost associated with hiring and training new crew.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $62,500.00 per year
