Mechanical Draftsperson Wanted

Commander Ag-Quip PTY LTD is looking for a Mechanical Draftsperson to join the team in Albany W.A.

Our agricultural equipment manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Draftsman. In this role, your primary function is to create technical drawings for our machinery and projects using a computer-aided design program, like Solidworks. These drawings are an essential tool for our operations team, so they must be very detailed, complete with cutting lists, sheet metal flat patterns, foundation plans (for structural projects), and BOM’s. You will also collaborate with the sales team and operations manager, adjusting the plan based on their notes or recommendations.

Essential Requirements:

• ·Relevant tertiary qualification or minimum of 5 years’ structural and/or mechanical engineering experience at associate level or above
• Proficiency using Sketchup Pro & Sketchup Layout to produce detailed fabrication drawings of steel structures
• Proficiency using Solidworks (or Fusion 360, Onshape) to produce detailed fabrication drawings, steel cut lists & BOM’s of machinery.
• Proficiency Using office 365 (primarily, Sharepoint, Teams, Excel)

Desired Requirements:

• Ability to build and modify Dynamic components in sketchup pro
• Hands on mechanical fabrication experience
• Interest in process improvement, standardization, and streamlining of workflows.
• Experience in structural drafting
• Experience designing products for tube laser cutting.
• Experience in industrial technology / CNC programming CAM.

Salary range (AUD55,000 – AUD65,000)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
