Home to some of Australia’s biggest thrill rides and coolest waterslides on the planet, our worlds present a unique and diverse opportunity for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. The Mechanical Engineer is a key position in continuously improving the park’s maintenance standards and provides support to the Engineering department to deliver Global Best Practice in Safety and Operation.
Key responsibilities will include:
Review maintenance program and documentation
Review and write maintenance procedures
Liaison with ride OEM and maintenance specialists
Assist with the park's asset and maintenance compliance by ensuring Australian Standards and Regulations are followed
Custodian of asset structure and register including ride registration, pressure vessels and compressors
Manages extra-ordinary 'business as usual' maintenance activities
Assist plant shutdown modifications and extra ordinary maintenance work
Coordination with contractors both tradesmen and professional contractors
Assist with continuous improvement CAPEX
Assist in building the park's CMMS and DMS system
Provide technical support to maintenance technicians and planners
General engineering support
Assist with Projects
Review and management of Internal and External audits
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with a technical focus in Mechanical
Minimum 3 years’ work experience in a mechanical engineering role
Demonstrated well developed verbal and written skills; interpersonal and presentation skills; and shows a strong commitment to confidentiality in all communications
Advanced Microsoft Office skills coupled with the ability to quickly learn internal software programs used within the department.
Strong administration and organisational skills with high level of attention to detail.
Demonstrates a commitment to delivering exceptional service to both external and internal customers
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise effectively and work successfully under competing deadlines
Demonstrated ability to keep clear and accurate records and reports that can be easily accessed when required.
Strong attention to detail and well-developed organisation and problem-solving skills in a high-volume environment.
Able to use AutoCAD and Fusion360
