Form of work About the role
Our site Maintenance team based in Geelong is on the lookout for an experienced Fitter. Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor, you will have support and autonomy in a dynamic role with variety of work throughout your day. Responsible for managing breakdowns, preventative maintenance and improvement for manufacturing operations. The maintenance team is highly safety focused and process driven, and we have fun whilst improving the site.
Duties include;
Complete assigned repair and preventative maintenance work orders in a safe, timely and professional manner
Undertake fault finding, troubleshooting issues and identifying opportunities for improvement
Provide feedback via the maintenance management system
Liaise with other trades in the workshop
Maintain all work areas in a safe and tidy state
About your experience
We are looking for someone with proven ability to work within an onsite maintenance team delivering successful outcomes around equipment reliability and continuous improvement plans.
We would love to hear from reliable and enthusiastic candidates who can demonstrate the following:
Hold relevant mechanical trade qualification and ideally a background in Heavy Industry
Possess exceptional fault finding and troubleshooting skills
Have a proactive approach, whilst holding safety and customer as core values
Ability to apply sound judgement and manage competing deadlines
Excellent communication skills and computer aptitude, experience with SAP will be highly regarded
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Experience in Hydraulics and Pneumatics
Post trade accreditation (Cert IV) is highly regarded
