The main duty of the position is to maintain mechanical equipment on site to achieve optimum availability and cost.

Duties, Statement & Accountability:
- Safe systems or work;
- Maintain assigned equipment, and perform daily inspections to ensure compliance with operational and safety requirements;
- Maintain all required log books and inspection reports as per company procedure;
- Report all operational deficiencies to supervisor and maintenance personnel;
- Good troubleshooting abilities during engine / mechanical breakdown;

- Comply with all site safety requirements;
- Report any safety hazards immediately to your Supervisor, remove the hazards if it is safe to do so or make the area safe if it is not (i.e. barricading, signage etc.);
- Complete Take 5s and Hazobs on a daily basis and hand in to the Safety Advisor each day;
- Report all injuries and illnesses immediately to your Supervisor;
- Attend and participate in all meetings (including prestart and toolbox meetings) and inspections where required;
- Participate in the development of JHA’s and sign on to relevant JHA’s daily or when changing task;
- Sign onto any permits relevant to the day’s work;
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping site wide;
- Participate in induction, training (including task specific, and formal on and offsite training) and review activities; &
- Adhere to company’s employee relations policies and procedures.
- Minimum 3 years post apprentice work experience
- Australian Recognised Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter, Boilermaker or equivalent
- Site specific (e.g. confined space, working at heights) as required
- First aid certificate
- Current Driving Licence
