The role
Based in our Tullamarine branch, we are seeking a Mechanical Fitter to work as part of our growing Industrial gears service team. You will be working as a part of a supportive and a progressive team within a positive working environment. Your responsibilities will include;
- Dismantling gearboxes
- Completing basic reports and drawings
- Manufacture / modification of minor components where required
- Assembling and testing gear boxes
- Ensuring the work environment is kept clean and safety is upheld at all times
- Maintaining a high standard of work
- Adheres to Quality Assurance and OHS standards
About you
- Be Trade Qualified and have practical experience as a Mechanical Fitter.
- Relevant technical knowledge pertaining to the Mechanical Engineering Industry – ideally gear, gearbox & bearing arrangement experience.
- Willing to learn new processes and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player as well as independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- A positive attitude to safety.
- Forklift Licence.
- Willingness to work paid overtime when required.
