Our mining operation provides you with the unique opportunity to live locally and go home every day or stay in our Village for your roster and DIDO. We are only 130kms from the Perth CBD and approximately 100kms from the coast. You will work an 8:6:7:7 roster so there will be plenty of time to enjoy the lifestyle this area can offer you.

The Role:
As a Maintenance Technician with Newmont, you will be required to monitor and maintain equipment in a large fixed plant process mining environment to ensure we achieve safe milling production targets of 38MTPA. The major components of the process plant are listed below and all Process Maintenance Plant personnel are required to maintain and assist in these areas as required;
-Conveyors
-Feeders
-Screening
-Primary & Secondary Crushing
-High Pressure Grinding Rolls
-Shutdown Supervision
-PM inspections in all areas
-Operation of plant equipment (EWP/Forklift/Overhead crane/Dogging/Basic Rigging/Hiab)
About You:
-To be successful for this role you will have the following:
-Mechanical Trade Certificate
-Experience in a large fixed plant environment
-Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
-Current "C" class manual drivers licence
-Sound mechanical aptitude
-Ability to work within a team
-Computer skills and exposure to CMMS (SAP preferred)
-Knowledge and understanding of the statutory regulations relevant to safety and the environment for the mining industry
-High Risk Licence: forklift, elevated work platform, dogging/rigging (preferred)
-Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights (preferred)
