About the role
We are working with a growing and successful Engineering company that has a positive team culture and fun environment. Their clients are Tier 1 Mining companies, so their work has to be tip-top. You will be working approximately 3 weeks in their tidy, up to date workshop, where there will be plenty of overtime on offer, and then 5-7 days on site, where the hourly rate is at the very highest end of the scale!
You will be working on, and servicing attachments for excavators and skid steers, fixed rock breaker boom systems and automation solutions.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Trade certificate/qualification in fitting
- Permanent working rights in Australia
- Proven track record of safety in the workplace
- A valid Australian manual C class driver’s licence
- Forklift licence
- EWP +11m, dogging, rigging and gantry crane experience (ideally)
- Confined Space, Working at heights (ideally)
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
- Enthusiasm, responsibility and take pride in your work
- Be able to work overtime
You will be an integral part of our established team of fitters, working collaboratively in a positive environment. The primary focus is on maintenance work, requiring expertise in hydraulics and mechanical rebuilds, including troubleshooting and servicing hydraulic attachments. Key responsibilities include:
- Hydraulic attachment servicing, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Bench testing and commissioning.
- Stripping, rebuilds, and refurbishments.
- General maintenance and workshop duties.
