The Opportunity:
As a Mechanical Fitter at AstraZeneca, your role is crucial in providing technical support to the Process Execution Team. Your responsibilities will include carrying out preventative maintenance, conducting fault-finding analysis, and performing repair work. You will also provide technical guidance to line manufacturing operators and ensure that the preventative maintenance schedule is followed at their world-class manufacturing facility in North Ryde, Sydney.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance according to operating and safety standards.
- Identify and resolve process line faults.
- Independently carry out equipment cleaning, maintenance, and inspection.
Requirements:
- A Recognised Australian Qualification (Certificate III Engineering – Mechanical Trade) and/or relevant qualifications or experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role or willing to learn.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written, verbal, and training) with keen attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a Food, Pharmaceutical, or highly regulated industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in BFS, Filling, and packaging processes and equipment highly regarded
- High precision fitting and machining skills required. Some fabrication or welding skills would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of SAP and general computer skills including Autocad, Excel, Word, Powerpoint & MS Project are preferred but not essential.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- NSW National Police Check.
- Standard Medical (including audiometry and spirometry).
- Drug and Alcohol Screening.
- Functional Capacity Assessment.
