Mechanical Technician Fitter

Genesis Minerals are currently seeking  Mechanical Technician Fitters for a permanent opportunity to join the team at our Leonora Operations, just an hours’ flight from Perth, WA.
 
Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, the successful incumbent will provide effective and responsive maintenance support to Leonora Operations in order to safely achieve the equipment availability and asset utilisation, essential for optimum process operations.
 
This is opportunity is offered on a balanced 8 days on / 6 days off roster. This role may be Fly-in Fly-out from Perth, Drive-in Drive-out from Kalgoorlie or residential in Leonora.
 
The opportunity

• Provide efficient and effective mechanical maintenance support to the Processing operations to ensure that the processing plant can operate optimally at all times.
• Contributing to the Processing Department achieving production, gold recovery and cost per tonne targets;
• Ensuring all tasks are carried out in an environmentally sustainable manner;
• Managing the best use of your own time and other resources to achieve the required outcomes.
• Ensuring your own Health & Safety as well as that of the other members of the Leonora Maintenance team;

We would love to hear from you if you have​:

• Mechanical Fitter or trade qualification;
• Ability to produce a National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months) for site access purposes;
• Current unencumbered West Australian ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence;
• Experience in the mining industry, particularly in underground mining and Dangerous Good Security Card will be well regarded.
