About Metropolitan Memorial Parks
Metropolitan Memorial Parks (MMP) operates under the NSW Crown Land Management Act 2016 and serves as the primary cemeteries and crematoria operator for the NSW Government. Committed to offering compassionate care and affordable choices, MMP manages eight Memorial Parks across Sydney and the Hunter region, providing spaces for reflection and community support.
We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical/Workshop Technicians to join our team at our Macquarie Park Cemetery in Macquarie Park. Reporting to the Cemetery Operations Manager, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining various plant and small equipment, along with performing general handyman-style duties as needed.
These permanent full-time roles involve scheduling maintenance and repairs to minimise workforce downtime, maintaining accurate records for plant, equipment and facilities and generating maintenance reports.
Applicants must hold a current NSW Driver’s license and a White Card or be willing to obtain one.
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Considerable relevant experience (a trade certificate is well-regarded).
- Operational knowledge of plant and smaller equipment.
- The ability to undertake minor general handyman duties around the facilities.
- Demonstrated pride in their work and the ability to meet deadlines.
- The capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to workplace safety.
