About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechatronic Engineer who is ready to take the next step. Based in our factory in Lonsdale, this role will form a key part of the Plant Engineering team and will be directly responsible for installing, upgrading, and maintaining our mechanical, electronic, and automated systems. 

About you:
As an experienced Mechatronic Engineer, you will be able to demonstrate:

Knowledge of Camera Systems, AGVs, Robots, Bar-coding

Strong knowledge of the Robotic Process Automation industry

Proven track record of successful automation projects

The successful applicant will be degree qualified in robotics or mechatronics. Experience on a similar position will be important and certification in Lean Six Sigma would be highly regarded.

Key responsibilities include:

Design, develop, and enhance electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices.

Create automated systems and the software to control them.

Conduct research, documenting findings, and presenting reports at meetings.

Develop design documents for mechanical parts and final products.

Identify areas of weakness in the production line / finished products and making recommendations for improvement.

Select the required tools and materials for the manufacturing process.

Review & improve production systems to improve efficiency.

Review factory layout 

Identify and prioritize cost down opportunities.

Concept solutions with supporting data 

Prepare justifications for management approval.

Apply LEAN tools to improve processes.

Support 5S process

Train operators in the use of automation & robotics

Create internal robotics experts.

Support ongoing improvements on implemented technology.
