The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Clinical Support Nurse to join the education team at Northern Health.
As a member of the Northern Health Nursing / Midwifery Education team, this important role will primarily assist in anticipating and responding to the clinical developmental needs of the staff within the Medical Division. Clinically based, the position will liaise closely with the Nurse Unit Managers and other clinical educators to assist staff in safe practice for Medical care within NH. This role involves aspects of program delivery, and performance review through formative and summative feedback and completion of appropriate appraisal processes as deemed by the relevant NH requirements. This includes performing assessments for mandatory and clinical skill development as required within the Medical ward scope of practice.
This is a Permenant Full Time position, working 80 hours per fortnight with an ADO
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Desirable minimum two years' experience in clinical education
- Three years acute experience
- Relevant experience in clinical education and knowledge of undergraduate programs and supervision
- Current knowledge of acute and post-acute patient care
- Experience in supervision and training
- Qualifications in clinical education and training or equivalent, or working toward
- Highly Effective communication skills
- Excellent team collaborative skills
- High level of enquiry
- Current AHRPA registration as registered nurse/midwife
- Postgraduate qualification in relevant specialty (respiratory/medical/clinical education) or working towards
