Working as a part time receptionist will involve medical administrative care with emphasis on providing patient centred service and clear communication.
Being the patient’s first contact, your role will be to:
- Greet patients over the phone and face to face
- Managing the phone and organising emails to the appropriate team members
- Assisting with patient booking using Electronic Health Record
- Organising patient payments, claims and type letters.
- Manage documents involving fax, scan, electronic file and prepare documents for mail-out
- General housekeeping
- Allocation of some additional tasks where appropriate
Requirements of the employee:
- Minimum 12 months experience as medical receptionist is required
- Understanding of the Medicare Benefits Scheme
- Understanding of private health funds billing system
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethics
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to follow instructions and set a high standard
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office
- Comfortable with using Mac/Apple
- Maintaining clients confidentiality and privacy
- Professional, friendly and approachable personality who is keen to learn and develop
