The Position
St John of God Bunbury Hospital located in the south west of Western Australia, is regarded as one of the finest private hospitals outside the metropolitan area.
With 145 beds and more than 330 highly qualified medical practitioners, our health care facility caters for a variety of medical and surgical admissions, palliative care, maternity services, plus allied health and community-based services.
This is an opportunity to join the friendly and supportive team in our Medical Centre as a Medical Receptionist.
Whilst working in this rewarding role you will provide and maintain an efficient clerical service to the Medical Specialists and be responsible for the successful and smooth running of the Medical Centre.
Applicants with experience using Genie Solutions medical reception computer programs will be viewed favourably.
This position is being offered on a permanent part time basis working 48 hours per fortnight (0.6 FTE).
The successful candidate will meet these essential requirements:
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Previous relevant experience in a similar position or medical practice.
- Ability to establish priorities (time management skills), work independently and work under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated commitment to customer service.
- Experience with medical reception computer programs.
- Advanced computer skills (e.g. Practice Management Software and Microsoft applications) and knowledge of medical terminology.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent presentation, positive attitude and a flexible approach to working hours.
- Understand the importance of confidentiality and patient sensitivity attending the medical centre.
