Khamly Oncology is seeking applications from experienced administrative professionals who are eager to join a collaborative, caring, and supportive workplace culture.
Khamly Oncology is a private oncology practice in a convenient and attractive East Melbourne location, based at Epworth Freemasons. The practice supports a number of clinicians that, collectively, look after people across a wide range of cancers.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the practice director, Dr Khamly, and the practice’s other clinicians to continue its reputation as a provider of compassionate, individualised support for people touched by cancer.
In exchange, Khamly Oncology offers a competitive salary and a passionate, caring, and supportive workplace culture. This is a part-time role, across three days a week in the first instance, increasing to four days a week upon completion of a probationary period.
Previous experience in a healthcare environment is highly valued but is not mandatory for this role. We are open to receiving applications from experienced administrative professionals of all backgrounds who are motivated and willing to learn.
The successful candidate will work across a broad range of administrative responsibilities and support multiple clinicians to facilitate excellent patient service.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Patient Service: work as a key member of the administrative team to facilitate patient care effectively and efficiently according to best-practice standards of service and operation, utilising the practice management system (Genie).
- Billing Coordination: Invoice and receipt patients for appointments and treatments. Communicate clearly and professionally with hospitals, private health insurance funds, and Medicare to minimise debtors.
- Schedule & Appointment Coordination: maintain the practice’s appointment schedule in accordance with each provider’s preferences and availability on a proactive basis. Schedule and reschedule patient appointments, treatments, and other appointments, in close coordination with the treating clinician.
- Systems & Processes: utilise our practice management system and software environment to maintain a seamless and communicative experience for patients, families and carers, clinicians, and referring doctors.
- Demonstrate care and empathy towards patients and all members of the practice, in all activities and interactions.
