Join our multi-disciplinary team at The Orange Door and make a real impact in the lives of Victorians seeking support and services. As a Men’s Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, safe, and effective service responses. You’ll be an integral part of our team, focusing on an integrated practice model and enhancing the accountability of family violence perpetrators.
In this role, you’ll provide essential support to women, children, young people, and families experiencing family violence, as well as individuals using family violence and families needing assistance with child care, development, and well-being. You’ll collaborate closely with Team Leaders and Practice Leaders who will guide and direct your work.
Though your main base will be our Geelong office, you might also work at various access points, including Bellarine, to ensure we reach those in need.
The key objectives of this role are:
- Deliver high-quality service responses as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Maintain a strong focus on increasing the accountability of family violence perpetrators
- Provide support to women, children, young people, and families affected by family violence.
- Work under the guidance of Team Leaders and Practice Leaders.
- Be flexible in working across different access points, primarily based in Geelong.

To be successful in the role, you will have:
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology or related tertiary qualifications.
- Experience working with men, children and families with complex needs in any of the following service areas:
- Family Services, Child Protection, Family Violence, Disability, Housing, Mental Health and/or Alcohol and Other Drugs.
- A sound knowledge of sector reforms, theoretical frameworks and relevant legislation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high level of organisational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
