DISTRICT 360 SUPPORTS
- Mulgrave - Mulgrave, Victoria 3170, Australia (specifically looking for casual support for a NDIS participant in Mulgrave, Victoria 3170, Australia however other shifts can be made available with other participants within a 30 - 45 minute radius)
- Work Type: Casual – 15 hours (min) per week (Starting ASAP)
- Salary: $31.42 - $64.10/ hour

THE ROLE
Your role is more than just about providing support. You empower your Participants - you must be able to take a step back and encourage their independence; and support them to feel included within their community.
We value staff who can think outside the box – people who have hobbies and life experiences that they can apply to enrich our Participants daily lives.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Community Participation - assisting with social outings and transport
- Assistance with daily life tasks - personal care needs
- Support Participants to achieve their goals and build their independent living skills
- Maintain positive working relationships with your team members and Participants, as well as families and stakeholders involved in supporting Participants
- Documenting record – recording shift notes, reporting incidences, identifying areas of improvement, and recognising steps taken towards achieving goals
- Portray positive values and attitudes in line with those of D360
THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR WILL
- Has strong communication.
- Has strong written skills.
- Has the ability to utilise common sense and take initiative
- Has capacity to meet the physical requirements of the job that can include manual handling tasks, as well as personal care.
Has the ability to work in a team and autonomously.
- Is open to new experiences, is willing to learn, and who can work with a diverse number of people with skill levels.
- Provide high quality support that addresses the Participant’s needs as articulated in their NDIS plan
- Respect the personal preferences of participants in meeting their needs.
- Work in conjunction with other Support Workers and our management team to perform duties as directed.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Experience with AOD (Preferred)
- Working with Children Check (optional)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (if you don’t have this already, you may do this after applying)
- NDIS Worker Induction Module Certificate (if you don’t have this already, you may do this after applying)
- NDIS Enjoying Quality Safe Meals Certificate (if you don’t have this already, you may do this after applying)
- COVID-19 Infection Control Certificate (if you don’t have this already, you may do this after applying)
- Drivers Licence (without restrictions)
- Comprehensive car insurance
- Car Registration
- First Aid & CPR Certificates
- Passport / VISA if Passport is foreign
- Certificate IV in Mental Health is desirable but not required
- Up to date Resume including your availability
