Magnus Health is a NDIS registered company that provides in-home support to participants with a range of mental and some physical disabilities. We are looking to put together a team who can work seamlessly to provide continuity of care for our participants.
We currently looking for female workers who are able to do the following hours:
- Between 6am and 8pm
- 2pm until 10pm with a sleepover (10pm to 6am sleeping)
With some flexibility
Essential for the role:
- Valid work rights in Australia
- Current First Aid & CPR certification or willing to obtain
- Current Blue Card/Yellow Card/ Worker Screening Check or willing to obtain
- Queensland driver's license
- Minimum of Certificate 3 in Disability / Mental Health/ Individual Support / Aged Care / Nursing / Health Services Assistant Or be a current Nursing student (should have completed Cert III equivalent placements) or willingness to obtain
Experience working with adults with ASD (level 2 or higher) is highly desirable.
About the role...
Within this role you will be expected to perform direct care duties with compassion and professionalism. These duties may include:
- Assistance with daily hygiene (showering, dressing, toilet)
- Assistance in meal preparation and shopping
- Supervision of medication
- Daily activities such as washing or cleaning
- Transporting to appointments
- Facilitating community participation and inclusion
- Providing companionship and support
- Prompting positive routines and behaviours in a cooperative and respective manner
- Following Care Plans and assisting in working towards NDIS goals,
