Mental Health Liaison Nurse - Emergency Department (ED)
Based in Gippsland, Latrobe Regional Health are looking for a Mental Health Liaison Nurse to join our Emergency Department on a full time basis.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager - Emergency Department, the successful applicant will be based in the ED and play an important role in order to achieve integrated and holistic Mental Health care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
Working alongside Mental Health and ED Clinicians, the Mental Health Liaison Nurse will support the patient journey, providing expert advice and skills to ED staff in early prevention strategies, working towards a development plan for the Mental Health patient.

The successful applicant will:
- Practices within a multidisciplinary framework to maximise recovery and promote optimum outcomes for patients
- Practices within the Mental Health Act and legislative requirements for each individual
- Practices advanced clinical assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care to MH consumers
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
