The Role:
Full-time opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Nurse, to work in a clinic setting within the Villawood Immigration Detention Centre. Key responsibilities:
- Provide a high standard of clinical care pertaining to mental health care
- Initiates appropriate treatment and referral in emergency situations
- Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team
- Management of patients on mental health medications
- Administration of medications
- Conducting health promotional activities
Required:
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Div. 1 Registered Nurse
- Minimum 3 years experience in Mental Health Nursing
- Advanced clinical assessment, care planning and crisis management skills
- Current First Aid and/or CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
- Current Federal Police Check or willingness to obtain
