Lifestyle Centred Services is an NDIS and TAC registered provider of supports for people with disability and Mental Health Support needs throughout Victoria, we specialise in psycho-social disability and those faced with minor or major Mental Health issues providing services for people of all ages and backgrounds with a wide range of abilities and support needs.

About the Role:
This role is perfect for someone with a person-centred approach, has a genuine passion for improving the quality of life for those with minor and complex Mental Health needs, who enjoys a challenge and enjoys the rewarding feeling of making a difference in someone’s life.
We are seeking experienced Mental Health Support Workers for an adult requiring support within the home involving In Home Care and Community Access.
Shifts available: Tuesday and Friday 2 hours, times to be confirmed; Wednesday 10am - 12pm
Positions may be available in surrounding suburbs.
Pay rate Minimum starting rate is $40.36 per hour, plus allowances for evenings, weekends and public holidays (based on qualifications and experience).
Skills and Experience:
Experience and or/Academic or professional experience in Mental Health or a similar field (i.e., Psychology, Nursing, Community Services, Youth Work or Social Work)
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and driven.
  • Reliable, kind and caring nature, with good work ethics
  • Be patient and understanding.
  • Well-presented and a professional approach
  • Positively engage, interact, and work with people who have complex needs.
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of Mental Health and the issues that are faced.
  • Ability to apply sensitivity, empathy, cultural awareness, and an open-minded approach to personal matters. Experience working with and implementing client goal plans with a demonstrated understanding of client recovery-oriented practice in a Mental Health framework.

Mandatory Requirements:
  • Current resume and 2 professional referees
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment.
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC) (Employer) – if supporting U18
  • Current driver license and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID011/HLTAID003) & CPR (HLTAID009/HLTAID001)
