About the Role

We are currently looking for a Metallurgist Processing Planning and Technical role within our Metallurgy Department to carry out metallurgical accounting and short to medium term planning. This role comes with an opportunity to contribute to an environment where safety is a priority, integrity is expected, you have the opportunity to learn, develop and make things happen.

In this role you will be a member of a close-knit team, responsible for providing direct feedback to Mining and Processing teams for production plans. The role is based in Mt Keith on a 7/7 roster, flying out of Perth.

Reporting to the Production Planning Lead, duties include:

  • Metallurgical accounting across daily, weekly and monthly timeframes
  • Rolling Weekly planning and coordinating the alignment of Monthly planning horizons
  • Provision of technical support to the Processing team
  • Achievement of safety, environmental and technical goals
About You

You must be a self-motivated and organised person who works well within a team environment, demonstrates a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong problem solving and analytical ability.

The following attributes will be well regarded:
  • Previous experience in operational role within processing plant and/or metallurgical accounting and planning will be highly regarded
  • Computer literacy particularly Microsoft Office suite also highly regarded
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with operational teams
Location:

Nickel West Mt Keith is located 460 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in the Northern Goldfields. Nickel West Mt Keith is a surface mining operation with multiple open pits and a concentrator plant. The operation is surrounded by pastoral stations, with the nearest townships being Leinster and Wiluna. There's plenty to keep you entertained in the Mt Keith Village. Take the heat off the day and head to the pool - or join in any number of social activities. Employees commute to and from Perth on a fly in / fly out roster.
