Position: Supervisor (reporting to Bakeries Manager of The Kellam Group)
Location: Breakfast Creek Lifestyle Precinct, 194 Breakfast Creek Road, Newstead
Hours: Full Time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with rotating weekends, days only (closed in the evenings)
MICA is located at the Breakfast Creek Lifestyle Precinct, Newstead, and operates 7 days a week as a patisserie (with all pastries and breads made in-house!), and a la carte café service for breakfast, brunch and lunch available Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Supervisor at MICA Newstead, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties reporting the Group Bakery Manager, including:
1. Rostering: Working with the Group Bakery Manager to plan and manage staff shifts to ensure optimal coverage and customer satisfaction.
2. Staff Training: Work with Group Bakery Manager to develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and performance.
3. Lead by Example: Be an approachable, hands on leader
4. Business Growth and Development: Work with the Group Bakery Manager to implement strategies to drive revenue growth, improve customer retention, and expand our market presence.
6. End of Day (EOD) Till Reconciliation and Reporting: Manage financial transactions, reconcile tills, and provide accurate daily reporting.
7. General Administration: Oversee day-to-day administrative tasks to keep the business running smoothly.
8. Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and organised work environment.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a supervisor role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of business operations and financial management.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
