Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mill Cleaner to join our dedicated team at the Unigrain Smeaton Mill, Victoria. The Mill Cleaner will work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all facilities are cleaned and maintained to comply with food safety accreditations.
Job Details
- Ensure all cleaning methods and chemicals are to the subscribed Department of Agriculture, Fisheries & Forestry and (DAFF) requirements.
- Wash and clean equipment in the Mill
- Wash and clean walls and floors in the Mill
- Pick up any excess product on mill floor and discard
- Complete weekly cleaning schedules
- Liaise with Maintenance to ensure matters are resolved in a timely manner, as a result of routine cleaning
- Other duties as requested by the Production Manager or the General Manager, Operations, Victoria.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- 2 + years of cleaning experience
- Needs to be reliable, pro-active and show initiative
- Great communicator
- Strong attention to detail that meets the required cleaning standards
- Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task and work under pressure.
- A current driver’s licence
- This position requires the incumbent to perform manual/physical tasks including frequent climbing of stairs within the Mill and working in a dusty environment.
Desirable
- 2 + years of cleaning experience within a manufacturing / factory environment.
