Work Location: Perth Fortescue Center - 87 Adelaide Terrace East Perth. Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: 4 Days On / 4 Nights On / 8 Days Off
As Mine Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the effective utilization of the Fleet Management System.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in executing 24-hour mine & maintenance plans.
- Enhance equipment productivity by promptly reporting maintenance issues.
- Ensure data accuracy and system integrity through continuous evaluation.
- Monitor and record equipment operation statuses within the system.
- Act on information provided by tyre management systems and weather applications.
- Manage machine maintenance statuses efficiently.
- Prioritize and manage communication demands across various channels.
- Understanding critical procedures in case of system failures.
- Uphold the integrity of the mine model (road network, equipment locations, etc.).
- Minimize shift and maintenance delays (fuelling, operator change out).
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an operator in an open cut mining environment.
- Advanced computer literacy and a strong affinity for Innovation and Technology.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic work environment.
- Exceptional multitasking skills across various priorities.
- Proficiency in Fleet Management System (advantageous but not mandatory).
