Boss Energy owns the Honeymoon uranium restart project in South Australia, which has a near-term clear path to production. The Honeymoon project is located in South Australia, is fully licensed for exports of up to 3.3mlb and is run by a strong management team which has leveraged off industry experts.
About the Position
A fantastic position is available for a geologist who has excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think creatively to understand and model relatively complex ore and sedimentary geological systems.
The role reports directly to the Senior Mine Geologist and will play an important role in contributing to the development of the in-situ recovery mining and establishment of wellfield infrastructure.
Key tasks will include:
- Drill rig management
- Logging of geological samples
- Collation and interpretation of downhole geophysical logs
- Development of 3d ore and geological models in Micromine
- Planning and management of leaching well installation.
- Production reconciliation
Boss Energy also continues to explore for uranium over its vast 2,600km2 tenements, and is evaluating acquisition of other uranium projects. Opportunities to be involved in this broader exploration and development work will also be available to the geologist role.
About You
The successful candidate will be degree qualified with a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a similar FIFO role. You will be required to hit the ground running, be motivated and self-driven, and backed by a friendly and supportive team.
You are a qualified geologist and able to use your technical knowledge and operating experience to develop into a senior role in Boss Energy.
Interpretation of geophysical well logs, and familiarity with in-hole uranium assaying technologies will be an advantage.
You are expected to have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Your role will predominately be site-based on a rotating roster.
