Job Description:
Due to our growing pipeline of projects, MEC Mining is keen to engage with a confident and skilled Mining Engineer who is prepared to undertake site based project work, FIFO from Brisbane. You will be required to draw upon your previous experience in mine planning, design and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
Short and medium term mine design
Daily to LOM planning and scheduling
Operations and site-based technical support
Technical analysis and assessment
Report and presentation writing as required for project deliverables
Qualifications & Technical Experience:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering required
Solid working knowledge and experience in open cut/open pit
Recent operational engineering experience in drill & blast, truck and shovel, scheduling and planning will be highly regarded
Proficiency in the use of mine design and scheduling software, in particular Vulcan, Alastri, Deswik, Minescape, XPAC and XACT will be highly regarded
Personal Attributes:
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders including management, technical professionals and operational personnel
Previous track record in building credibility amongst your peer network and positioning yourself as a trusted business advisor
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and technical report writing skills
Strong analytical ability
