Multiple roles required for Mobile Registered Nurses
Are you looking for a more autonomous and flexible working environment with a fully supported team treating patient's in the comfort of their own home?
We are looking for qualified and enthusiastic Registered Nurses who are able to work autonomously providing a one-to-one service to patients in the community for our Hospital-in-the-Home (HITH) service. You will work under the guidance of a medical practitioner, and nurse clinical team and educator, as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
Candidates must exhibit compassion, instill confidence in patients, and take pride in providing a high level of patient-centered care.
ABOUT US
Through our provision of intravenous antibiotic infusions, post-operative wound care treatment, Medimobile’s Hospital in the Home (HITH) services successfully reduce the length of hospital stays and help to improve patient’s quality of life and recovery time.
Our HITH team operate 7 days a week, 365 days a year, providing you and our patients with 24/7 support through our Medical Team with lots of opportunities to pick up shifts.
Through the provision of buddy shifts and internal training sessions, we place a high priority on the quality and accessibility of training available to our team, ensuring that our staff’s competencies align with Medimobile’s high standards and patient-centered approach.
ROLE
As we seek to expand our HITH division throughout Queensland, and Australia-wide, we are looking for Intensive Care Unit/Emergency Department experienced Nurses that have experience with handling and caring for CVADs/PICCs. Familiarity with Portcath’s is also desirable, but not necessary. The ability to take blood and insert Peripheral IV cannulas is also desirable, but not necessary.
Working as a HITH nurse, responsibilities include: the disconnecting & connecting our 24hr antibiotic infusors, CVAD dressing changes and/or line removal (once competent). Our specialist clinical nurse team are available for support and decision-making regarding any issues that may arise.
The Medimobile HITH programme is a service that entails visiting patients one-on-one, which can vary from 1-5 patients per day, in either their work environment or home, to deliver patient-centered, hospital-level care.

Essential requirements:
- Registered Nurse with 3+ years post-graduate experience
- 1+ year of experience within ICU/ED/Hematology/Oncology
- Experience with CVADs/PICCs is preferable
- Flexible schedule – able to provide cover across weekdays and weekends
- Able to provide coverage to addresses in Northern New South Wales
- Nurses in other areas of QLD and other states welcome to apply as we are expanding our service nationwide especially Melbourne and Tasmania
- BYO device – must have access to a smart-phone and a tablet or laptop
Mandatory License/Certifications:
- Australian drivers licence and access to own reliable vehicle for business travel
- AHPRA registration
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Current First Aid/CPR/BLS certificate preferable
