South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) has opened a brand new hospital building at Prince of Wales Hospital at Randwick. We are looking for new team members to join our Domestic Services team, working as delivery and transport drivers for our Domestic Services team.
Full-time and part-time roles are available now! Training is provided.
What you'll be doing
The role of the Motor Vehicle Driver for Domestic Services is to provide prompt and reliable transport for the collection of waste, linen and bulky items and the distribution of stores, linen orders and other items to and from the hospital.
Full-time and part-time positions are available. You will be required to work a rotating roster across 7 days a week, with shift times between 6am and 8pm. Penalty rates are paid for applicable shifts.
Own vehicle is not required. You will drive the company vehicle during your shift.
A current NSW Light Rigid (LR) driver licence is a requirement of this role.

Prince of Wales Hospital is in Randwick, in Sydney's eastern suburbs. The hospital is close to both light rail and bus stops.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

- Previous recent experience in a similar position within a healthcare facility or other organisation.
- Good level verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow directions and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work varying shifts as may be required to meet hospital service needs over a 24/7 roster.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to be self-motivated and work productively with minimal supervision.
