We currently have a full time position available for a local MR / HR Driver. This position offers the opportunity to work within a progressive business where individual input is valued, and combined with a competitive salary and good working conditions.

When you are not driving the truck, this position will also assist the warehouse team. The Warehouse Assistant position is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including preparing goods for delivery and receiving goods and maintaining inventory and associated records. Other responsibilities include, planning and assigning daily work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Driving Truck and delivering flooring to our customers
- Honest and reliable
- Understand the importance of adhering to OH&S policies and procedures.
- Strong customer focus is essential along with good paperwork and record keeping
- Ability to build a good rapport with customers as you will be attending the same sites on a regular basis.
- Manage warehouse activities and ensure work is performed safely
- Prioritise multiple tasks to meet set delivery time frames
- Organising orders for distribution and dispatch
- Loading/unloading trucks, vans and shipments
- Receiving goods
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
- Maintain cleanliness of warehouse
- Picking of orders via picking slip
- Accurate packing and unpacking of stock in warehouse
- Stocktake
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Manage stock control and reconcile with inventory system
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
- Adhere to all warehousing and handling legislation requirements
- Ad-hoc duties as requested
Competencies required for the role
- Proven work experience driving a truck and working in a warehouse environment
- Ability to drive a forklift
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and delivery schedules.
- Good health and physical fitness levels are required.
- Ability to meet physical requirements including: a variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves; regular lifting of up to 20 kilograms and occasional lifting of 30-40 kilograms with another team member, occasional climbing of ladders; usage of pallet jacks.

Essential
- Current MR/HR Truck Driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Forklift licence required
- Previous warehouse experience preferred

- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
A probation period of 6 months applies
